Jules White (the Stooges' regular director/writer) stole a LOT of stuff....

Harry Langdon eventually worked for Hal Roach as a writer in the late '30s, and even appeared opposite Oliver Hardy in "Zenobia" (1939)- he finished his career working in two-reelers for Columbia, the last of them co-starring El Brendel and released after his death, in 1945. His son became a leading portrait photographer in the '70s and '80s....

They all speak of Chaplin, Lloyd and Keaton as being 'the three geniuses' of silent film comedy. If there were a 'fourth genius', it would indeed be Harry Langdon.

I love you Harry!

Harry didn't make as many films as other comedians but there are now only about four of his films missing and some that exist may be missing a few scenes.

The Stooges stole that hatchet-sauce routine from this movie. Curly did it pretty funny tho.
