I'm afraid there is a difference between votes missed and voting present. While you are technically correct that McCain missed more votes in the recent legislative session. Thee is no "present" vote in the US Senate. However in the Illinois Senate, Obama voted "present" 130 times. Therefore he can't be criticized for his position. In my opinion it is worse to have no position, especially when it is for political expediancy.
