Honestly I loved the Athens Opening it was very poetic and artistic. Beijing has also presented a very cultural and splendid show. London doesn't have to surpass Beijing or Athens because it will be different again. I was sad to see the flame extinguished two weeks ago and am looking forward to 2012. Go London!

Don't be upset with some narrow minded people here, Baron of Saarrdollowman! I love the red bus show, it brought in so much of the style of the city of London. I don't know why people have to put down others to show that they themselves are the best?

I prefered your other comment! What's your problem with a cool red bus! They don't have them in Greece or anywhere else in the world! I dont see why Greece bother to say that they started the Olympics if hardly any of the history showed up when it came to lighting the torch! That's my point! (The Baron of Saarrdollowman is also quite sick of the fact that Greece always gets to go first when it comes to the Opening ceremony) p.s Britney? How dare you! You're Greeky!

You have got a good point. Britain invented football and rugby and loads of other sports, but we aren't good at any of them. And Britain has never truly been awarded the games before by the commitee.

when u hear the mother language of olympics to the whole stadium is not the same with any others..also when u see ancient olympia is not the same with some red busses!i can't say anything else hunny it's not just me but everybody that says they were moved by the greek ones..just becouse we are a small country doesn't mean we can't do stuff!take care.. p.s i don't want a piece of u britney !!
KateL06 (September 6, 2008 at 12:33 pm)
oh ok..well DON'T!just becouse you are a powerfull country doesn't mean u are first at everything that takes place in the world!live with that and compromise for once for gods sake! the feeling greeks had when they were making the olympics in athens was something undiscribeble becouse we felt like in ancient times..and becouse they were back home!the british ones and all the others(without saying they were not beautiful)were just some hosts and the feeling was not the same!

Aaah, so you want a piece of me too!? (The Baron of Saarrdollowman started this argument because he thought the lighting wasn't very good compared to previous games. He also thought they should have been a little more imaginative considering the games stared in Greece). p.s I can compare anything with Britain!
KateL06 (September 5, 2008 at 11:09 pm)
how can u even compare the olympics that took place in 2004 AT THEIR HOOOOOOOME with the birtish ones?i'm going to puke seriously !

How dare you! I get it, you are from Greece, correct? (You have to be from Britain to appreciate a cool bus which flips over to reveal a London skyline and several people who make Britain look good. You also have to be greek to appreciate a giant needle.....and a bad medal history.
